I have about 15 years of working experience in the areas of agri-enterprises development and management; rural economic/livelihoods development management; women and youths’ socio-economic development, and in inclusive rural financial development initiatives. My areas of professional expertise and experience include designing and execution of agri-enterprises’ growth and development strategies; designing and execution of agri-businesses’ resources mobilisation strategies; designing and facilitation of rural livelihoods initiatives; facilitation and management of strategic economic development partnerships; and in designing and implementation of agri-enterprises’ monitoring and evaluation frameworks. Over the last four years, I have led teams to mobilise grants for rural development projects, from the Flanders Government in 2021 (more than 1 million Euros), and the Canadian Government in 2022 (50,000 Canadian Dollars).
I have experience of working with both the Government of Malawi and the non-governmental sector, as I previously worked with the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation Development and a number of international non-Governmental organisations (including Plan International, Voluntary Services Overseas, World Vision International and GOAL International). I hold a Master of Science in Applied International Development (Development Policy and Planning) from the University of Reading (U.K), and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agribusiness Management from the University of Malawi.
